What is Theatre 33?

This summer Willamette University Theatre is again hosting Theatre 33’s “3 x 33 Play Reading Series”, with the generous support of Playwrights West. Theatre 33 is a non-profit theatre in collaboration with Willamette University Theatre, bringing together established actors and designers in the mid-Willamette Valley, and students, faculty, and graduates of Willamette’s theatre department. Our name mirrors our mission: Oregon is the 33rd state in the nation. Theatre 33’s work will illuminate the wealth of artistic talent and tradition in our state while showcasing, in part, the distinct work that’s created here in Oregon.
