The Peregrine Writers to Read at #SalemOR Public Library – Thursday, April 21

The Peregrine Writers to Read at Salem Public Library

Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 7:00 PM
Salem Public Library | Anderson Room A

Members of The Peregrine Writers, a poetry critique group that has been meeting regularly in Salem for the past 17 years, will read from their recent work and offer books for sale.

The reading, in celebration of National Poetry Month, is free. Light refreshments will be served.

Current members of the group have numerous publications and awards among them, and all are experienced performers of poetry. Four of them had books of poetry published in 2015, and they will be happy to sign copies.

The new books include Eden and After, by Colette Tennant; Nice and Loud, by Lois Rosen, both published last summer by Tebot Bach; and No Constant Hues, by Eleanor Berry, published last spring by Turnstone Books of Oregon. The Business, by Stephanie Lenox, won the 2015 Colorado Prize in Poetry and was published last fall by the Center for Literary Publishing. All four books will be available for purchase at the reading.
Forthcoming this summer is Sourcing Siapo, by Penina Ava Taesali. Though she won’t have copies by April 21st, audience members will want to look for it later this year.
