Fleece to Fiber: Quilting for Kids

June 11, 2016  10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Willamette Heritage Center
1313 Mill St SE
Salem, OR 97301

COST is $25

Using the Willamette Heritage Center’s extensive quilt collection, we’ll travel through time exploring the stories and histories of quilts made in (and brought to) the Willamette Valley.

We will then experiment with some popular quilting styles and techniques from the 1930s and 1940s, like hexagons, hand-piecing, applique, and embroidery to create a pillow slipcover, potholder, or placemat.

This is a perfect opportunity for kids to kick off their summer with a new skill, and is the last Fleece to Fiber class until September! The class costs $25, and pre-registration is required by June 10th at 5:00 pm.

Class cost is $25.00 and for kids ages 10 and up. Class size is limited to 10 students and requires 4 students to run.

Pre-registration is required. To register contact Kathleen or Kaylyn @ 503-585-7012
