Elsinore Theatre features Academy Award “should have won” Best Picture
The Wednesday Film Series at the Elsinore Theatre returns in 2018 to bring 11 classic and contemporary movies to the big screen. The spring line-up features films that, according to critic Tim Dirks, should have won the Best Picture Academy Award for their year. We have selected one film for each decade the Academy Awards have been active, plus a bonus feature.

After a film crew shooting on a tropical island discover a giant ape who takes an interest in the female star played by Fay Wray, the ape is captured and brought back to New York City for public exhibition.
