Tell us your thoughts on future park uses, river access, park amenities, and more!

An update to the Riverfront Park Master Plan is underway. This beautiful park in downtown Salem has seen a lot of changes since the last master plan was completed back in 2001. Recent improvements to the park include the completion of the Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge, and the temporary placement of a seasonal winter ice rink.

To help guide continued improvements to this popular park, we are requesting community involvement in the master plan update to address proposed amphitheater and stage upgrades, potential expansion of the Riverfront Carousel, connections and access to the Willamette River, and the future use of 3.8 acres of additional land at the southeast corner of the park.

  • Date: 6 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018
  • Location: Pringle Hall, 606 Church St. SE
  • Come learn about different alternative design plan concepts for Riverfront Park. At the meeting, you can provide feedback on these alternatives, including your likes and dislikes, and what we’ve learned from the second online survey.

Community Meeting #3

  • Date: 6 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018
  • Location: Pringle Hall, 606 Church St. SE
  • Join us for a discussion over the “Preferred Alternative” concept and key design issues.
